Civic duty

November 7, 2006

To all the fellow Americans who happen to visit the End of the Bench today, I’d like to remind you to get out and vote.

I’m not here to shill for any particular party, candidate, or issue.  Chances are, we don’t see eye to eye anyway.  But the idea behind how our country works is dependent upon the members of the American public making their voices heard.  This is one of the biggest opportunities to do so.

The balance of power in both the House and Senate is up for grabs.  If you’re an incumbent fan, get out and save your party.  If you’re itching for change, do your part to make it happen.  I’m sure there are plenty of local politicians looking for your vote as well.  So go out, and fulfill your civic responsibility.

End of public service announcement.
